A large stack of paper sits in the centre of a white space, weighed down by an object.
These are the only things occupying the space, and provide the basis for an artist to create works. An empty printer also sits in the room to feed for digital work. The stack of A4 is to be used in the creation of artworks / sketches / print-outs that are placed on the wall ready for the next artist’s arrival.
The artist must bring an object to replace the previous paperweight, and can only bring materials they can carry on their person. Subsequent artists will then arrive to a smaller stack of paper, an increasing amount of work on the wall and a paperweight left by the previous artist. The result is a selection of works / an exhibition made in response to the space and all of the people who have been involved.
